Artist Statement:
These are some of the drawings created during the last year and a bit. Being at home because of the pandemic has been both more of the same and very different for my art. As an artist I have always been in the studio working much of the day. But previously I would go out and draw in coffee shops and experience being with others from a far. Most of the drawing from last year have been drawn in isolation or drawn from really a far – zoom sketching and such. I feel like this has intensified my drawing both in ideas and expression. As I continue to sketch I am starting to see these characters show up in more drawings and their stories start to unfold. I hope you enjoy these sketches.
